Fender Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Tele; Butterscotch and Maple. Great daily player!

  • $159.00

Here is your basic Fender Squier Telecaster, Affinity Series, in butterscotch with maple fretboard. This made-in-China model is a solid budget guitar. A daily beater and knock-around player at home or in the neighborhood, or garage. The stock pickups and tuners are surprisingly decent -- no complaints -- but you can also use this as your customization platform for experimentation and modification. I bought this because I wanted a budget Tele to keep in Open G tuning, as a complement to my USA Tele Deluxe. I ended up buying a vintage MIJ lawsuit Tele from the '70s, so this one is up for grabs. Decent condition. Not perfect by any means. Small chunk of wood missing from base of headstock, above the nut. Nice fast and well-worn neck, with a slim profile. Fret ends have been filed down as well as possible (rough frets are a common complaint on these Squiers), and fret tops have been polished. Nice patina/wear on the maple fretboard. I have 9s on it now and the action is nice and low.  Comes with a perfectly ordinary gig bag!
